Object Storage

Cleat browses S3-compatible object storage — AWS S3, Linode Object Storage, DigitalOcean Spaces, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, MinIO and anything else that speaks the same API — in a tab beside your terminals and SFTP browsers.

A connection is an endpoint, a region and an access key. It lives in the Connections sidebar with your servers, can be grouped and coloured like them, and is found by the command palette's search.

What it does not do

Buckets cannot be created or deleted, and there are no screens for bucket policy, CORS or lifecycle rules. Cleat does not generate presigned URLs, edit object metadata, or rename folders. Temporary credentials that need a session token are not supported. An object-storage browser opens as a tab of its own and cannot be placed in a split.
